Residential Electric Heat Checklist

Cooling Checks:

• Check Amperage and Voltage to All Motors
• Check Air Temperature Drop Across Evaporator Coil
• Lubricate All Moving Parts as Needed
• Check and Clean Condensate Drain Pan and Drain Line
• Check Contractor Contact and Electrical Connections
• Clean Condenser Coil as Needed
• Verify Thermostat Operation and Accuracy
• Inspect Condenser for Oil Deposits and Overall Condition
• If Necessary, Apply Gauges and Check Operating Pressures
• Report Findings On Invoice

Heating Checks:

• Check Voltage On Heat Strip
• Check All Safeties
• Check Air Temperature Drop Across Heat Strip
• Lubricate All Moving Parts as Needed
• Check Contractor Contact and Electrical Connections
• Verify Thermostat Operation and Accuracy
• Inspect Condenser for Oil Deposits and Overall Condition
• Check Condensate Drain
• If Necessary, Apply Gauges and Check Operating Pressures
• Report Findings On Invoice


Residential Gas Checklist

Cooling Checks:

• Check Amperage and Voltage to All Motors
• Check Air Temperature Drop Across Evaporator Coil
• Lubricate All Moving Parts as Needed
• Check and Clean Condensate Drain Pan and Drain Line
• Clean Condenser Coil as Needed
• Verify Thermostat Operation and Accuracy
• Inspect Condenser of Oil Deposits and Overall Condition
• Check Condensate Drain
• If Necessary Apply Gauges and Check Operating Pressures
• Report Findings On Invoice

Heating Checks:

• Check Flue Pipe for Damage or Separation
• Clean Burner Assembly
• Check Amperage and Voltage to All Motors
• Check Air Temperature Across Heat Exchanger
• Lubricate All Moving Parts as Needed
• Check Fan Limit and Limit Control Safeties
• Check all Other Safety Switches and Roll Out Sensor
• Report Findings On Invoice
